CHILDCARE FINANCIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Quality childcare is a need for many families, which, unfortunately, some cannot afford. Current studies show that children who receive safe, stable, quality childcare are more likely to develop positive social skills and succeed in school than latchkey kids. They also have the potential to develop positive and healthy relationships with their licensed childcare provider. These important relationships lay a foundation to help them make good choices like avoiding drugs and alcohol in their teen years and beyond. Our Childcare Assistance Program helps families by paying a portion of their childcare while working, or while completing their education. This can help families secure a better, more self-reliant future and ease some financial-related stress. As a result, businesses and schools may also benefit due to their employees and students having less interruption and absenteeism Parent Provider Connection is able to offer this program through the generous donations of its community and the United Way of Steele County.

CHILDCARE REFERRALS
Parent Provider Connection offers referrals to all families in Steele County looking for childcare. Choosing safe, stable, quality childcare is one of the most important decisions parents make. It impacts their work life, home life, sense of well being, and their ability to perform all of their roles successfully.
How does our Referral Program work? In Steele County, there are over 180 licensed childcare providers, which can make looking for safe, stable, quality childcare overwhelming. Parent Provider Connection can help simplify the process. Parent Provider Connection staff can either give you a full list of all childcare providers in Steele County or work with you to narrow your search to childcare providers in your desired area of Steele County. The list will also include their hours of operation; if they follow a pre-school curriculum; and if they have pets (allergies).
