The USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a program that reimburses childcare providers for offering nutritious meals and snacks to the children in their care.
The Food Program is a very important part of our support to you. Making sure that children get healthier options in their meals and snacks will help combat childhood obesity and decrease their chances for Type 2 diabetes. Work with us in helping to make the children in your care healthier for the rest of their lives.
Why should you choose Parent Provider Connection? There are nine (9) CACFP sponsoring agencies in Minnesota. Parent Provider Connection is located in Steele County and has a small number of home providers.
- We can offer you personal attention and care.
- We can be that adult voice on the other end of the phone during a hard day.
- We can help you with many aspects of your business. Some of us have been in childcare businesses and know exactly what you are going through. We are ready to help you anytime.
- We have direct deposit so your money gets to you even faster.
- Monthly newsletter keeping you in touch with all requirements and offering activities or menus for you to do with your children.
Do we only serve those in Steele County?
No, we are ready to serve all providers in the Southern part of MN. For those in Steele County, we do have the ability to drive over and bring you forms and supplies that you may need at the last minute.
Do we make you wait for funding?
No. Parent Provider Connection reimburses you the same day that the USDA transfers your funds to us. We do not keep your money away from you; we give it to you RIGHT AWAY!
Do you need to only speak with your Field Representative?
No. You are not assigned one Field Rep - we all take turns doing home visits. When you have a question or concern - you can speak to anyone of us in the office - including the Executive Director. We are all here for YOU. We get to know you as a person - not as a number.

Parent Provider Connection offers Minute Menu Kids Pro (also called C-K KIDS Pro). This service is FREE to Parent Provider Connection providers. This program is used by about 30,000 family childcare providers across the US to record menus and attendance, manage child information, prepare their taxes, invoice parents, prepare lesson plans, and more! It is the premier child care management software for home-based family child care businesses.
If you operate a family child care business, Minute Menu Kids Pro has been built to make your life easier. With our partnership with Redleaf Press, Minute Menu Kids Pro (and C-K KIDS Pro) offers an On-Line Calender-Keeper, based on the print version of Redleaf Press's popular Calendar-Keeper. In addition, we have developed a full accounting system specifically tailored for family child care businesses, and include tips from industry expert Tom Copeland to make it the most effective software a family child care provider can use for their business.
